Masters Of Sex 2.12
- Libby is the most interesting/sympathetic character here. She has really come into her own in these past couple of episodes. Caitlin FitzGerald is nothing short of superb. Most of her scenes are riveting.
- The Lester/Barbara story gets better every week, but it still feels like a poor imitation of the Barton/Scully storyline from last season.
- The Austin/Flo plot takes a new direction in this episode, but still fails to have any sort of weight/significance when compared to the others. If it was dropped for Season Three I would not miss it.
- Bill Masters continues to be a worthy lynchpin for the series. He is a perfect anti-hero: Flawed, arrogant and selfish. Her hurts people. Yet, his goals are noble and he sometimes shows remarkable compassion.
- This was a key episode for Virginia. The audience’s sympathies lay with her husband for most of the episode, I feel, a marked contrast to Libby who is not the show’s most sympathetic character.

Flex Alexander. Another heartfelt and beautiful episode, with new characters skillfully introduced, and new twists in ongoing storylines. 10/10
Masters Of Sex 1.7
Allison Janney and Beau Bridges are superb, and their storyline is the best. But it’s by a very narrow margin. Show is exceptionally good. And all of the characters are so easy to relate to, and we feel their needs and wants and pains and disappointments so intensely. 10/10
