Finished a Father Ted re-watch during the week (and finally saw the last episode for the first time!) so I made myself a new wallpaper from the episode titles.

Father Ted 3.8

Tommy Tiernan. A one-joke episode. Very enjoyable nonetheless, because of the performances and the call-backs. 8/10

Father Ted 3.7

Maria Doyle Kennedy (looking very sexy!).

One of the very best episodes. It’s a wonderful idea, with a perfect execution and superb performance from Patrick McDonnell .

Father Ted 3.6

Jim Norton returns for this magnificent episode driven by one insane idea and sustained by the cast and the characters. There are some killer one-liners in the mix, but it really only works because the characters are so strong, and so well defined. 10/10

Father Ted 3.5

Football. Silly and funny. Written in a knowing way. Not that many huge laughs, but very enjoyable. 8/10

Father Ted 3.4

Richard Wilson, Graham Norton. While the Father Noel sequence in the middle drags on way too long, this is otherwise a funny and enjoyable outing, with cool mini-adventures for Father Jack and Mrs. Doyle and a clever ending where everything is tied up in one place (the police station). 8/10

Milk Float. The best episode. And probably one of the funniest episodes of anything ever made. A classic. 10/10

Sheep. An example of the show taking one basic idea and running with it, as far as they possibly can. Wrangling every conceivable laugh. And then some. 9/10

One of the very best episodes. Fast-moving, delightfully absurd and full of great gags. 10/10

Father Ted 2.10

Breaks formula by having the two main characters on a plane, and effortlessly maintains a surreal tone for the duration. The essay-writing contest is a real high point in the series. Wonderful. 10/10

Brendan Grace . Amusing idea. Not much actually happens, however, and any laughs that are here all come from Father Dougal (of course). 7/10
