Doctor Who 30.15
- Magnificent!
- The visuals are great and lend the story an epic, out-of-this-world feel.
- Evans is hilarious.
- David Tennant has rarely been better than this. His Doctor is positively blazing bright with joie de vivre, and it is lovely to see.
- Christina makes for a very sexy companion. The chemistry between her and the Doctor is HOT! I wish she was the Doctor’s companion for longer. Heck, I wish she was my companion for a while!
- Great story. High concept. Full of danger and action. Doctor Who has never been better!

Doctor Who 30.12
Penelope Wilton, John Barrowman. A loud, frantic episode jam-packed with exciting guest characters. And not much else.
The story, for example, goes nowhere. Which get very frustrating about half-way through. Self-indulgent. 7/10

Doctor Who 30.10
Lesley Sharp, David Troughton. Gripping change-of-pace episode, with several fascinating ideas. All of which are perfectly executed. The location/setting is simple and perfect for a claustrophobic horror scenario. The superb cast does the rest. Sharp and Tennant are especially good. 10/10
Doctor Who 30.8
Alex Kingston, Talulah Riley. Ingenious, intriguing, frightening, horrific, epic. Everything about this episode is perfect.
It pulls the viewer in with a great idea at the very start (the 51st century library) and keeps us riveted to the screen with a brisk pace that constantly unveils exciting new details. Some pertaining to the fascinating a-story, some concerning the mysterious b-story and - most daring of all - many of them dropping hints about the future life of The Doctor himself!! Astonishingly good. 10/10
Doctor Who 30.6
Georgia Moffett, Nigel Terry. Basic chase story, with a few nice ideas in the mix. Including the gimmick of our hero having a ‘daughter’.
Something which is sadly underused and leads to a very pointless ending where she dies… But then turns out to not be dead, after all. 7/10
Doctor Who 30.4
Sontarans, part one! Absolutely delighted/surprised to have Martha back. But the story is basic and moves very slowly.
Several scenes take ages to go anywhere. So when it actually gets somewhere, the audience is way ahead of it. 7/10
Doctor Who 30.3
Tim McInnerny. Suspenseful and action-packed. Dark, violent story, with lots of depth and meaning. Visually impressive. In many ways, it is structured like classic DW, with humans trapped at some remote location, surrounded by aliens.
Catherine Tate is simply fantastic, it must be said, and the non-stop banter between The Doctor and Donna is a delight. 9/10
Doctor Who 29.12
John Simm. Again, there is much here to remind one of old school DW. It’s thrilling stuff, even if it’s (disappointingly) little more than a set-up for the next part.
Simm is astonishingly good as The Master, however, and Alexandra Moen is mesmerizingly sexy as his wife. 8/10
Doctor Who 29.11
Derek Jacobi. Fast-paced and very exciting. Structured like old school DW, with a group of people in isolation, surrounded by an enemy of some sort. Stories like this are vintage Doctor Who.
More important than that: this episode cleverly uses events from this season, and from the series’ distant past, to deliver a superb twist at the very end. 10/10
Doctor Who 29.7
Michelle Collins. Feature-standard production values, stunning visuals and an epic score. And… a good story. I love this story arc that is playing out with Martha’s mum. What’s going on? 10/10
Doctor Who 29.3
Ardal O’Hanlon. Top notch thriller, with some fabulous concepts/ideas. Love the visuals, too. Very impressive. Surely one of the best episodes? David Tennant is particularly good in the final scenes. Some very poignant moments. Just a wonderful episode from start to finish. 10/10
