08:00 Acapulco HEAT
09:00 Prison Break
10:00 Greek
11:00 Friday Night Lights

Acapulco HEAT. Episode 1. The opening episode of this sexy spy drama from the early 90s is a fairly dull affair. You start the hour with an action sequence, but - after that - it's all talk. The chemisty between Catherine Oxenberg & Brendan Kelly is great, but you need something more. By the time we reached the cliff-hanger ending, I couldn't care any more.

Prison Break. Season 3, Episode 1. The first episode of the new season is a fresh start for the show. We have a new location, a few new characters and the coolest (and best) characters from last year. In terms of regulars, the show is really giving us a dream team here. The new location is awesome, it looks nothing like anything the show has given us before and it really does feel like a brand new series. Even better, you get hints as to what might lay ahead. Prison Break is a clever show, and we are - I feel - in safe hands with these writers.

Greek. Episode 10. As Greek heads to hiatus, we are given a stunning episode. Lots of changes. One relationship (a key relationship) ends in a shocking way. Very sad, too. Another relationship (one that most viewers probably don't like) comes to a end, but does so in such a way that we are left feeling sorry for the bad guy. Two other people (hilariously mis-matched people, at that) end up in bed together for the first time. Best friends fight, a gay character is outed, there is a national scandal, Charisma Carpenter guests, room-mates hug! This is a killer episode from start to finish. And hints that that show is going to take all these characters in wonderful new directions when it returns in 2008.

Friday Night Lights. Episode 14. You know that a show has gotten under your skin when you really worry for the characters. In this outing, one of the teens tracks down his father in order to get him to sign some papers. Nothing much happens, truth be told, but having had a few hints as to what might happen the viewer is kept on the edge of their seat waiting for the heartache to begin. It's a gruelling hour. One that, for this storyline at least, has a happy ending.

Best show of the night? To my surprise, the show I loved most tonight was Greek. That sucker blew me away.
