08:00 The Sarah Connor Chronicles

The Shield. Season 3, Episode 15. Very enjoyable, but flawed, episode to bring the third season to a close. Claudette's storyline seems rushed and implausible. Many times in the series, previous to this, the idea has been put forward that Claudette would take over from Aceveda as Captain. And would then butt heads with Vic and the team. It's been a long promised direction for the series to take, and now - the course of basically one episode - the whole thing is put to rest. Claudette suddenly commits career suicide in a storyline that - while very dramatic - makes no great sense. Why would she dig her heels in, on this particular case, especially after all the warnings she had been given? Why would she dig her heels in when she could just say nothing and... wait quietly for her promotion? And then she could do something about the case.

Other than this, it was a great episode. Vic and team finally resolve their on-going problems with the Bad Guys they previously stole money from. Or - more correctly - Vic resolves the problems. By killing the top guy. The episode/season ends with the Strike Team yelling and screaming in each other's faces, before going their seperate ways. Dramatic stuff.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Episode 5. When I first read, years back, that this series was in development I had an idea in my mind of what it would be like. And it certainly wasn't anything like this. For one thing, I didn't believe for one second that it would/could be this good. And for another, I didn't expect it to be so slow and thoughful most of the time. Sarah and John spend a lot of time watching a chess game in this one, for instance. It's a great episode, yes, but who would have expected a show with this premise to be so... realistic. Sarah really seems to be trying to lay low and gather intel all the time. Just like you really would do, if you were in her position. It's great.
