06:00 CSI
09:30 Seinfeld
10:30 Scrubs
CSI. Season 5, Episode 22. Yet another non-formula change-of-pace episode. Once again we have only one case for the whole show but, this time, all of the cast are featured. Everything, however, is seen from Catherine's perspective. It's her story this week. We see her off the job, stressed and going to a bar. She meets a sleazy guy and - later on - he turns up as a suspect in her murder investigation. Something which opens a can of worms for poor Catherine. It's a curious episode. Tense and very enjoyable to watch, but the underlying message seems to be that Catherine has no business going out and getting drunk and meeting guys. Hmm...
Seinfeld. Season 9, Episode 5. Kramer starts a crusade against the postal service, over junk mail. Obviously.
Scrubs. Season 6, Episode 19. Heartbreaking ending to this one. Keith has proposed to Elliot. All the cast imagine what it would like to be married to her. JD tries to act like he doesn't care. But he does. And it's wonderfully sad to see him come to the realisation. Sarah Chalke, meanwhile, turns in an even funnier than usual performance. Wow. Chalke is one of television's funniest performers. Never self-conscious. I can't think of a more "free" funny person. She seems capable of absolutely anything. A lady who can change direction in the middle of a sentence. Amazing talent.
Highlight? Scrubs.
