06:30 Seinfeld
Seinfeld. Season 9, Episode 8 is one of the cleverest episodes of Seinfeld. Indeed, it’s one of the cleverest episodes of anything. Ever. This is the backwards episode. It opens with the closing credits and the gang returning from a wedding in India. The next scene takes us back a day, to India, and the next takes up back another 15 minutes. And on and on. Until we are right back at the start of the story (with Elaine receiving the wedding invitation). Even then, we get two bonus scenes: one set two years back (when Susan was still alive) and another set eleven years back (showing the first ever meeting between Jerry and Kramer). Truly one of the great episodes. Hilarious no matter how many times you see it. My favourite aspect it of it? Even in this backwards episode, the writers still find a way to tie all the plots together at the end. Man, I love that show!
