Rules Of Engagement. Season 5, Episode 17. "Zygote" Russell & Timmy date very TALL women!
Here are some reasons why I love ROE so darn much.
1. The cast chemistry. This episode has three plots, and each one is carried by two cast members - the two couples and the two single guys. Usually, I shower all the praise on Patrick Warburton and Megyn Price, but - really and truly - all of the cast are so good together. Bianca Kajlich has evolved into a perfect straight-woman for Oliver Hudson and this episode shows their team-work off to perfection. Adam being dumb generates many, many hearty laughs. But many of those are actually fuelled by Kajlich's reactions.
2. It's a show that has stuck it's premise. Most of the stories in each episode are driven by relationships. The premise hasn't been diluted since the pilot and - in fact - with David Spade and Adhir Kalyan as two single guys on the dating scene, it has actually gotten stronger.
3. This episode ends with Jeff upset over the loss of money, and Audrey misreading that as him feeling concern for their chances of having a baby. Wonderful. Kinda dark, but very funny.
4. Patrick Warburton. 'Nuff said!
