Doctor Who 32.9

Daniel Mays. Creepy story with great visuals, a clever twist and an emotional ending (sniff!).

  • I knew they were inside a doll’s house, but I loved it anyway. Especially because when the Doctor arrived he immediately knew where they were and said it so dismissively.
  • Matt Smith was superb in this episode, especially in the first half when he was largely just interacting with the child and the father. Funny, eccentric, wonderful.
  • The dolls were were scary.
  • The lack of continuity with the previous episodes was mildly jarring, but also oddly refreshing. It was nice to get a break from the story arc. (This episode was shown out of production order.)
  • The ending did bring a tear to the eye. Magnificent.
