Sliders 037

Rob Youngblood, Lara Steinick.

  • Like many season 3 stories, this one has no real reason to be on Sliders. It’s not a parallel world tale, and the fact that they are on a parallel world is complete irrelevant to what happens. It’s just a creepy odd town, with a secret. It’s a story that could have been done on The X-Files.
  • As an episode, it’s very dumb and full of production flaws and inconsistencies. It feels like a half-written script and a rough-cut of a work-in-progress.
  • However, despite the fact that it’s probably the stupidest idea over used on the show, the performances are good. John Rhys-Davies  is always watchable.
  • Among fans this seems to be the most-hated installment of the show, but I found myself enjoying aspects of it from a this-is-so-bad-it’s-good perspective.
