David Pugh. A story mostly driven by the guest character, and his stay in hospital. This is Shelley’s best friend (we are told) and Fran doesn’t like him. Beyond his health scare’s possible impact upon James there is little here to care about. But Shelley is typically funny, and at his best when interacting with the nurses (particularly Sandra Clark as Sister Paterson). 6/10
