Royal Pains. Season 2, Episode 1. "Spasticity"

Royal Pains. Season 2, Episode 1. "Spasticity" The infomercial guy.

All the elements of a good episode are here: a quirky/interesting case-of-the-week, strong Divya/Evan scenes, advancement on the Boris arc, and a nice feelgood factor over everything.

Kyle Bornheimer is underused, but it's great to see him, as this week's patient. Hank gets to do some nice McGyver medicine in this one. I was a little confused by all the driving to and for, however, as I would have assumed that time was of the essence and - instead - the regulars did an awful lot of driving from A to B and back again. Anyway...

Divya has gone from being my least-favourite character to being a close second behind Hank and there were some lovely scenes between her and Evan in this one. I really like this character and her story arc.

Campbell Scott is underused, and we know from Damages just how good he can be, but it's great to see Boris having some serious conversations with Hank. I like their friendship/relationship a lot.

Most important, there's a strong feelgood factor to this show. It looks like a fun place.
