Voyager. Season 7, Episode 3. "Drive" Paris & Torres in a race.
Lightweight episode about Tom Paris entering the Delta Flyer in a race. There's a couple of subplots, too: Torres is unhappy about her relationship, and there are forces at work trying to sabotage the race.
It's okay stuff. Nothing much happens to quicken the pulse, but it's nice to see the crew having fun.
I tried hard to feel sympathy for Torres, but couldn't quite muster it up. It seemed to me like a storm in a teacup and - to be honest - I thought Torres was over-reacting. I really enjoyed the idea of her working with Paris in the race, but the episode didn't exploit it fully. Indeed the idea of the race wasn't exploited, either. The sabotage plot led to a nice twist but - to be honest - I think the episode could have done without that story and used that airtime to show us more of the race, and the racers.
Lightweight, forgettable stuff.
