The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Episode 2. "Thor the Mighty"
Once again, there's something in the middle of the episode that really bugs me. But...
This is another very good episode.
As with the Iron Man opening episode this one is fast-paced and full of action. Thor takes center-stage, battling The Wrecking Crew before leaving Earth to defend his Asgard. Once there, he's in battle again and - in the final quarter, after the fight - we learn a lot about the motives of the bad guy of the piece.
This show seems to be successfully capturing the 'coolness' of these characters. Iron Man was a blast to watch, and this goes for Thor as well. Sometimes battle scenes in animated shows fail to completely hold my attention, but this is an exception. Thor's distinct battle style is well-captured here and it's fun to watch him in action.
And the bit that bugged me?
Loki telling Odin about Jane Foster. Surely this random meeting was just taking place at that moment. Perhaps it had yet to take place? So how did Loki know about it. Makes no sense.
However, for everything else: this is still a Grade: A-
