The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Episode 3. "Hulk Versus the World"
The third episode is flawless. And superb.
The Hulk is one of my very favourite Marvel characters, way ahead of Iron Man and Thor. And this episode truly does him justice. The two Hulk battles are among the best I have seen on the screen. They really capture the character. Perfectly. And there are several 'Aw, cool' moments when the green giant is fighting.
It's just heaven to see this done so well.
Hawkeye and Black Widow are also two of my favourite Marvel characters. And both get plenty of screentime here, particularly Hawkeye, who comes across as cool.
And this is one of the greatest things about the wonderful show: it captures and conveys how cool all of these characters are. How cool and awesome the Marvel Universe really is.
But even more than that: it's a damn good TV show. This episode is the darkest and best, by a long mile. The conversation between Bruce and Clint is a real high-point in the series so far, and everything that happens afterwards is great storytelling.
The show has me hooked and I can't wait to see what happens next...
