Marry Me 1.5

Thanksgiving. As the Annie/Jake dynamic gets more screen-time the show feel less like a sub-par Happy Endings remake. They are great together, but the show still doesn’t really provoke that many laughs per episode. I like the supporting cast a lot more than I did at the start, but the show would probably work better if they were written out. Or just used less. 6/10

Marry Me 1.4

About as funny as the pilot, but the supporting cast are definitely growing on me. 7/10

Marry Me 1.3

Some chuckles along the way, but it feels like a watered-down Happy Endings. 6/10

Happy Endings 3.22

Stephanie March, James Lesure. Funny final episode (surprisingly) brings the series story arc (such as it is) full circle. We started at a wedding and we finished at a wedding. And, it ends as it began, with Alex and Dave deciding they are better off as friends, not lovers (and thanks to fifty-seven mostly hilarious adventures along the way we feel that from here onward they are going to do it right).

Many funny moments, especially anything concerning Penny. And the final shot (of them all on the dance floor) was rather lovely. 10/10

Happy Endings 3.19

Rob Corddry as Penny’s lover. So so so funny. Some of their scenes were sheer genius. Just wonderful. Everything great about the show is on display in this episode (the spoons conversation!!). 10/10

Filthy Sexy Teen$ 1.1

Concept is better than the execution, but this definitely has promise and I want to see more. 5/10

Happy Endings 3.17

Games Night. Truly wonderful. Not just hilarious, but surprisingly sweet and heartfelt. MVPs: Eliza Coupe, Casey Wilson. 10/10
