Supergirl 1.18

• Grant Gustin shines, but the episode around him is an unsatisfying mixture of elements that fail to entertain or hold the interest.
  
• Both supervillains are good, and really well cast, but the story doesn’t give them enough time. There is way-too-much forced comedy and forced romance “drama”.
  
• The Cat Grant character is even more grating and annoying here than she was in the pilot. A lot of her dialogue made me cringe with embarrassment.
  
• Indeed, I tended to cringe about something whenever the focus shifted from Barry, Kara or the two supervillains.
