Dark Matter 2.12
- Alex Mallari Jr. carries the episode brilliantly. This version of his character is riveting to watch. Especially as he interacts with the various members of the Raza crew.
- Ongoing storylines which have been dangling are brought to fruition here. This was well mapped out and executed.
- And there are some brutal shocks, too. Particularly that final minute…
Dark Matter 2.11
- Another fast-paced episode, with lots of action/adventure and some good Five/Three scenes.
- The Six/Two conversation at the end was very interesting indeed. Best thing in the episode. Promises a cohesion moving forward that season two has lacked.
- The Four-centric episode I was expecting this week is obviously coming up next.
Dark Matter 2.8
- What a fun romp that was! Covering the tropes one would expect in a parallel universe story.
- Why wasn’t it a 2-parter? The extra hour would have given them room to breathe, slowed the pace and allowed them to play with the alternate reality a bit more.
- As it was, all we really got was a whistle-stop tour of the characters and situations. They could have done much more.
- Who did they bring back? Hopefully One. Maybe Wexler, as that would be cool. Either would open up story possibilities. Maybe both?
Dark Matter 2.3
Enjoyable Five-centric story, making use of the show’s backstory to tell a novel story. I’m still grappling with the fact that One is apparently really gone (as in really dead). And Six is missing from this episode, as well. So, with them gone and three new ‘regular characters’, the show kinda feels like it has gotten a major reboot. 9/10
Dark Matter 2.1
- Strong episode with a lot to do: dealing with the ramifications of the big twist last season, and establishing a new status quo for all the characters. It does both of these admirably well, with humour and hints of new story arcs.
- Best scene: the android’s scene.
- Weakest storyline: One’s new arc seems the most generic, but that cliffhanger was a doozy.
Dark Matter 1.12
- Two’s backstory is revealed. Wasn’t expecting that. The Android kicks ass in great action sequence. Wasn’t expecting that, either!
- Love how the previous episode damaged the bonds of trust between Two and her crew and this episode set about reaffirming/strengthening those bonds.
- But the “star” of this episode was The Android. Very cool.

Dark Matter 1.9
Some good action sequences, but very little story development as most of the Four storyline is a long conversation. Most episodes add something major to our knowledge of these characters and their backstories, but this one didn’t. 8/10
