Taking Oliver out of the picture for a few episodes has done wonders for Team Arrow.

Arrow 3.6

Rila Fukushima . Good case of the week which:

  • fits neatly into the murder-mystery story arc,

  • gives Laurel lots of great moments,

  • has great action scenes.

10/10

Best performance in this week’s Arrow? Katie Cassidy,...

Best performance in this week’s Arrow? Katie Cassidy, without a doubt.

If you can’t do what Arrow does, then leave the party.

Arrow 2.11

Once again a really clever script. Full of misdirection and twists and major developments. Laurel has never been so sympathetic and heroic. Something the show needed to do a long time ago. And the twist at the very end (though predictable) was exactly what was needed to keep this engaging storyline going ever longer and create even more problems for Laurel to overcome. 10/10

Arrow 2.4

Cle Bennett. Good case-of-the-week, great character moments and Caity Lotz bringing some serious gravitas to the role of Black Canary. Wow.

Delighted also to see Katie Cassidy (a longtime favourite of mine) getting some quality screentime this season. 10/10

Arrow 2.2

It’s never been a villain-of-the-week show (even when they are good ones like Michael Jai White as Bronze Tiger) it’s ALWAYS, ALWAYS about the characters. Which is why it’s such a good show. And why I am endlessly proud to be a fan, and proud to tell people about it.

Oliver’s burden is the show, and this episode gives him a whole new reason to feel pain. And gives us a whole new reason to care about him.

But, aside from the lead, the show also devotes time to the woes of several other major characters. Most surprising, for me, is the time spent on Laurel. Is this her best episode?

The action scenes were frantic, the cliffhanger was astonishing and… Felicity’s one-liners stole the show. Damn, that was good. 10/10
