Major Crimes 2.16

Michael Nouri, Michael Hyatt. Case-of-the-week with genuinely surprising resolution, and an interesting point to make. I hope we see Nouri’s unsympathetic character again. 8/10

Major Crimes 2.8

Lori Loughlin. Not much story this week, mostly just an exercise in manipulating the emotions of the audience. Predictable. 6/10

The first season of Major Crimes got off to a shaky start, with a lot of needless character conflict. Which appears (wisely) to have been dropped mid-season. Final episode was top notch. It took them far too long to reach that height, but since I love these characters I was willing to wait. Roll on Season Two!

Ramón Franco. Good race-against-time story, with a type of killer unusual for this show and a way of telling the story that is different, also. Plus a satisfying resolution to the season-long story arc. 10/10
