06.30 Rules Of Engagement
07.00 Castle
Rules Of Engagement. Season 3, Episode 4. "Dad's Visit" Brian Dennehy as Jeff's dad.
Another episode driven by Audrey. Nice.
And this one had a good balance between stories suited to the show premise. The Jeff/Audrey storyline (his dad is a pig) was ideal for a married couple, the Russell storyline (can't get rid of one-night stand) was perfect for a single guy and the Adam/Jennifer stuff (she wants him to watch her favourite movie) worked for them still being a new couple.
It's a funny show and - to it's credit - it is sticking to it's premise.
Also, I loved the part where Jeff stood up to his Dad on Audrey's behalf.
Castle. Episode 3. "Hedge Fund Homeboys" Dead rich kid.
All of the scenes with Castle's mother/daughter were awful, but the cop stuff and the case-of-the-week were pretty good. The story was a lot like the third episode of The Mentalist but they did their own thing with it.
And I prefer this show. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic have amazing chemistry and they show consistently writes her as being very smart and shows us that (despite being clever himself) Castle is constantly learning from her. I love that.
Highlight? Rules Of Engagement (Jeff's little speech to his dad about Audrey was cool)
