06.00 Reaper
07.00 Kyle XY
08.00 Supernatural
Reaper. Season 2, Episode 5. "I Want My Baby Back" Can Sam save a baby from the clutches of the Devil?
Another winner. With solid (and mostly funny) storylines for all of the characters this show is a real treat. Every story is fresh and unique to this show and the series has created a very distinct voice for itself in the television landscape.
Kyle XY. Season 3, Episode 7. "Chemistry 101" Kyle organises a Latnok party, with a view towards winning Amanda back.
One of the best episodes. After several episodes of standing still and going back over old story ideas, the show has leapt forward with these Latnok episodes. Now, suddenly, Kyle has a new set of people in his life and whole new set of problems. Jessi is very much my favourite character in the show - who could resist all those one-liners? - but I hope the show doesn't opt to make her and Kyle a couple. I still want him to be with Amanda. And it's the show's great credit that it gets me involved, and caring so much, in this storyline.
Supernatural. Season 4, Episode 2. "Are You There God? It's Me, Dean Winchester" Several ghost of previously seen characters come back to get the boys.
Superb. It's always great when shows bring back favourite characters from seasons gone by. It's even better when - as is the case here - the characters are dead and we never expected them to come back. Nicki Aycox - the best star the show has ever had - is amazing here as the real Meg.
Also worth noting: this episode is an action fest from start to finish. It's not structured like normal case-of-the-week episodes. The boys (and Bobby) are attacked near the start and spend the rest of the episode defending themselves from relentless attacks. Nice.
Highlight? Supernatural (Nicki Aycox)
