Mary Pat Gleason, Hilary Jardine, Alessandro Juliani. Pitch perfect! A good story, very sad, told in a clever and rewarding fashion. The show has an amazing ability to tell these wonderful, and affecting, short stories. It creates these people, and gives us a window into their lives better than any other procedural on television.
That, even more than the ‘gimmick’ they use to tell these stories is the show’s major strength.
But, having the said that, the ‘gimmick’ (for want of a better word) is a terrific tool to get the audience interested at the very start and keep us intrigued as we watch out of curiosity to try and understand how this murder came to be. 10/10
