The Rockford Files 4.18

Dorrie Kavanaugh . The first third is an enjoyable comedy of errors, turning Jimbo into a spy (basically) for a story that is very different to the usual Rockford Files fare. The rest of the episode is a low-key, slow burning romance that gets better and better with every passing scene. There’s nothing particularly fresh or novel about the story (once it actually gets started properly) but the performances are so good they raise the material considerably. 9/10
