St. Elsewhere 1.2

Tim Robbins . David Morse is superb, as Morrison once again is the main focus. All of his scenes (with the bomber, with his wife, with nursing staff and with Westphall) are powerful and driven by his character. Against this, we get to see Dr. Mark Craig at his hilarious, arrogant, uncaring best. And in the background, in lots of short scenes, we see Dr. Peter White stumbling around, perpetually clueless. In many ways, this is a big step up from the pilot. The bomber storyline is more dramatic, more “TV”, but there’s no denying that raising the stakes makes for better drama. 9/10
