- Ending of the story is overly sentimental and blatantly manipulative but it’s a nice diversion with a different companion bringing a whole new dimension to the show.
- The Cybermen are curiously non-threatening but - to be honest - the Cybermat scared the crap out of me on a couple of occasions. Very impressed with the Cybermat, I am. In fact, given the bland nature of the Cybermen here I wonder if this script would have been much better if it had just had the lone Cybermat as the foe/baddie.
- That River Song scene at the end seemed terribly out of place but we obviously need it, moving forward. Still, thought, that is just clunky writing.
