- Generic case-of-the-week, about a boy who goes missing after his family are murdered, fails to excite.
- Both b-stories are forgettable, one features Jack Coleman and one features Mark Pellegrino.
- The episode is saved by a couple of good scenes: Erin and Jay at the start, and Erin and Voight at the end. The final scene between Voight and the dad of the family is good, too.
