Seal In The Bedroom. A story of two halves. Initially, it is about John defending his sense of humour and his work in general, to his boss and all and sundry, but it gradually becomes more about his relationship with his mother. When it changes, it becomes marginally less interesting, because the viewer is more invested in John’s artistic crusade than in whatever happens with his mother.
But the gag ending nicely ties everything together. And the performances are uniformly top notch. 8/10
