Fewer twists and surprises this week, but they are born of character and make more sense. Boyd drives the action in this episode, what he wants and what he needs. Rarely have we seen him with the odds against him on so many fronts: Ava in prison, Johnny lying in wait, the Crowes out to get him, Swift double-crossing him, and his upcoming business dealings. Enlisting the Crowes was a shock. But it makes perfect sense, and casts doubt over how I thought the season was going to play out. 10/10
